I adopted Instagram as soon as I launched my blog. A platform both personal and creative to share a few slices of life! I soon noticed that developing this account was not so easy.
Since Instagram was acquired by Facebook, it is increasingly difficult to develop its account because the platform implemented an algorithm that reduces the visibility of publications. However, there are “good practices” that in my opinion, will never be harmful!
Instagram being a social network, we receive the same types of advice as on other networks:
- Complete your biography carefully and choose a profile picture.
- Do not flood subscribers with low value-added photos.
- Utilize the network’s social functions: to be interested in others while respecting the ethical principles that we know well. No advertising of the type “I follow you if you follow.”
Tips That Work to Get More Followers on Instagram
Unique and Qualitative Content
Instagram remains a network of “beautiful images,” and most of the accounts that develop quickly and well are those who post quality content.
A Story to Tell
I also think, after a number of years spent on this network, that people appreciate hearing a unique and personal “voice” even behind a (beautiful) image.
Make People Know Your Account
Instagram is a network at the heart of your social life and to convert a reasonable amount of followers; you have to give it a place:
- Enhance your Instagram account on your blog (through an icon or by embedding some pictures in your articles)
- Create referrals between the platforms that you manage so that we know the existence of your account.
Nothing also stops you from making a little more explicit push about your account, by posting a message on your blog or on another network to encourage people to join you on Instagram. I did it 2 or 3 times this year, and it won me a few dozen subscribers.
Use Instagram Filters
According to another research, photos using a filter are forty-five percent more likely to receive comments than unfiltered photos. According to the study, “an increase in contrast and exposure positively affects the “views and comments” on a photo.
Furthermore, users of social network prefer filters or retouching that enhance a photo although an excess of filters can distort the beauty of a photo. We remain in a search for authenticity at this level.
For my part, I don’t use the filters offered by Instagram, I prefer to manually change some settings (contrast/sharpness especially) to improve the rendering of my photos, but I avoid the heavy editing that lies too much on the real photo.
Chat with Your Subscribers
This is a point on which I still lack investment, recognize it 🙂 If I think to like the comments that I receive or to answer with a small message when the commentary allows, there is one thing that I do little and works well on Instagram: work well your legends
Photo captions offer a unique opportunity to share trivia, ask your subscribers questions, tell stories. It creates a link, and it’s effective for engaging in a discussion.
With these harmless steps, you are sure to get more followers on your page; you can buy Instagram followers cheap if you do not want to wait through the stress of building it slowly to help increase your visibility.
